William Andrew ("Andy") Capps

William Andrew “Andy” Capps, 46, of St. Stephen, husband of Ruth Michelle Varner Capps, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020 at his residence.

Andy was born October 3, 1973 in Georgetown County, the son of Cecilia Brandon Parker Capps and the late Avon Noble Capps.

A Board Systems Operator with Santee Cooper, Andy was a member of Mason Lodge No. 128 in St. Stephen. He was a loving husband, father and Pappy to his grandchildren. Andy loved salt water fishing, shrimping, hunting and farming. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Surviving in addition to his wife Michelle of St. Stephen are his mother Cecilia of McClellanville; a son- William Ryley Capps of Macedonia; a daughter- Claire Elizabeth Capps of St. Stephen; sisters- Laura Tarry and her husband, Matthew, of Surfside; Rebecca Porter and her husband, Emery, of Pawley’s Island; step daughters- Lisa Katherine Wright and her husband, William, of Massachusetts; Laura Kristin Campbell of Moncks Corner; Elizabeth Ahrean Bremer and her husband, William, of Moncks Corner; several adorable grandchildren.

A public memorial service will be held at the Robert E. Ashley Landing, 405 Pickney Street, McClellanville Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 11 o'clock.
