Steven K. Pierce

Steven Kendal Pierce, 59, of St. Stephen, husband of Michelle Springs Pierce, passed away Monday July 27, 2020.

Steven was born April 25, 1961 in Berkeley County a son of Lewis K. Pierce and the late Lenora Murray Pierce.

A baptized member of Russellville Christian Church, Steven loved the Lord and his church family. He was a loyal person who loved and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Steven retired from SCDNR, had been a member of the Governor's Raid Team, had worked with the St. Stephen Police Department and was a guide at Oakland Club. He will be sadly missed.

Surviving in addition to his wife and father are four sons- Josh Pierce and his wife, Melissa, of Jacksonville, Fla.; Joe Sweatman of St. Stephen; Ricky Sweatman of St. Stephen; and Bradley Pierce of Port Washington, Wi.; two daughters- Kristen Midyette and her husband, John Eric, of Kill Devil Hills, NC; Jessica Kirkland of Goose Creek; grandchildren- Natalie Kirkland; Willow Grace Sewatman; Elias “Eli” Midyette and Elanor “Ellie” Midyette; two brothers-  Phil Pierce and his wife, Patti, of Summerville; Stewart Pierce and his wife, Stephanie, of Witherbee; a sister- Terri Pierce Cox and her husband, Rusty, of Moncks Corner.

His funeral service will be held at Russellville Christian Church, Friday July 31, 2020 at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Russell Funeral Chapel Thursday evening July 30, 2020 from 5 to 7 o’clock. Everyone attending the services is asked to please respect the current COVID-19 rules of socail distancing.
