Steven Guess Gramling

Steven Guess Gramling, 70, of Moncks Corner, born June 8, 1952, in Orangeburg, SC, went to his Eternal Home on June 21, 2022.  He was surrounded by loving family members singing his favorite church hymns and bluegrass music.  He was the son of the late Clarence and Sara Gramling.

A former agent with New York Life Insurance Co. and NYLIFE Securities, member of NAIFA, American Eagle Health Insurance agent, as well as a past UPS Tri-County Manager, he was a committed professional.  Steven graduated from the College of Charleston with a B.S. in Business. 

He was a dependable, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, who made spending time with his family a priority.  Steven was an avid outdoorsman, contributed to conservation, and loved hunting, fishing, and taking his family out on the boat.

He was a member of the Moncks Corner United Methodist Church (MCUMC), a choir member, loved serving on the Cook Team for the Men’s Fellowship and Methodist Youth Fellowship; helped with Salkehatchie and Habitat for Humanity; a member of Lions Club International; and a Scout Master, supporting his children, church and community.

Surviving are his wife, Peggy Ann McQuown-Gramling; daughters, Era Lynn Gramling Lanham and husband, Luke; Margaret Gramling Friar and husband, Will; Sara Guess Gramling; a son, Lee Steven Gramling and wife, Logan; beloved grandchildren, Hannah and Walker Lanham and Thomas and Suzanna Friar; sister, Martha Ann G. Stuckey and husband, Lee; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, Clarence Dennis Gramling.

His funeral service will be held at Monks Corner United Methodist Church at 11 am on Saturday, June 25, 2022, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL. The visitation will be at MCUMC on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 5-7 pm.
