Sherry was a proud graduate of Macedonia High School’s Class of ’61. Her career history includes dedicated years of service at Georgia Pacific, from which she retired to embrace the joyous role of a full-time grandmother.
Sherry was the widow of the late Dewey B. "John" Stewart. Her legacy lives on through her daughter, April S. Garbrick, her husband Tom, and her precious granddaughter, Hannah Garbrick. She was a caring sister to Terry Wyndham and his wife Judy, Lagree Wyndham and his wife Lynda, and Paulette "Squeaky" Sutler and her husband Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, B.G. "Frog" Wyndham.
Sherry grew up attending Macedonia Christian Church and was a current member of the First Baptist Church of St. Stephen. Additionally, her passion for flowers was reflected in her involvement with the St. Stephen Garden Club. Each summer, Sherry looked forward to vacations at the beach with the Shealy family, creating lasting memories. She harbored a lifelong enthusiasm for Gamecock football, a passion she shared extensively with her husband, John, during his lifetime.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Baptist Church of St. Stephen, P.O. Box 576 St. Stephen, SC 29479
