Obituary

Sarah Dale Durden Jenkins, 92, of Moncks Corner, widow of Robert Lee Jenkins, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2023 in Fayetteville, NC.

Sarah was born July 27, 1930, in Valdosta, Georgia, the daughter of Lonard Durden and Claudia Hilton Durden. She was raised with a strong belief in family values and work ethic as well as an even stronger belief in her faith which helped her to become the loving, compassionate, and caring woman of God that she will always be remembered for.

She worked at First Baptist Church Daycare for 20+ years and was well known for her fabulous cooking, but her greatest joy was being a wonderful mother, loving grandmother, and caring great-grandmother.

Surviving are her two daughters- Sherry Hartley of Andrews; Ann Crawford, and her husband, Herman of Fayetteville, NC- three sons, Michael Jenkins, and his wife, Joyce, of Jamestown; Jeff Jenkins, and his wife Mary of Cordesville;  Paul Jenkins, and his wife Christina of Moncks Corner -one brother, Carl Durden- sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Her graveside service will be held Sunday, March 26, 2023, 4 pm, at Berkeley Memorial Gardens.
