Robert Alton Hodge

Robert Alton Hodge, 78, of Goose Creek, husband of Edith McDaniel Hodge passed away Friday March 27, 2020 peacefully at home with his wife and daughter by his side.

Robert was born October 4, 1941 in Charleston, South Carolina a son of Henry Lee Hodge and Estelle Caddell Hodge.

A loving husband, father and grandfather, Robert served his country in the US Air Force. He was a “true character of many colors” and will be dearly missed by his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter- Susan Meree of the family home in Goose Creek; two sons- Steven Hodge of Moncks Corner and Ronald Hodge of Ravenel;  a granddaughter- Amanda Hodge of Virginia and two grandsons-  Lee Hodge of North Carolina and Remington Hodge of John’s Island; five great grandchildren- Addy, Tristen, Robbie, David and Sullivan.

A  graveside memorial service will be held at Wilson Cemetery, Wilson Cemetery Road, Awendaw, Saturday June 13, 2020 at 11 o'clock. Flowers and donations will be accepted at the cemetery or the Hodge home.
