Renne Ballentine III Obituary

Renne Otto Ballentine III, known fondly as Renne, passed away on November 3, 2023. Born on May 3, 1957, in Moncks Corner, he lived a rich life full of love from his family, friends, and the community.
Renne was the son of parents R.O. Ballentine Jr. and Barbara Locklair Ballentine. He is survived by his wife, Cindy L. Ballentine of Campobello, and two daughters, Haley R. Murdaugh and her husband Todd of Givhans, and Morgan L. Altman and her husband Pressley of Summerville. He also leaves behind a sister, Helen Brailsford of Manning. Renne was also a devoted grandfather to grandsons, Drayton and Tucker. To all who knew him, he was a kind, friendly, and thoughtful individual.
Renne had a remarkable 38-year-long career as a UPS driver, during which he became acquainted with much of his local community. He was a valued member of Local 509 and served as the past president of Moncks Corner Jaycees, extending his influence as a District and Regional director. He was deeply connected to his work community and held life-long friendships with his colleagues.
Beyond work, Renne was an enthusiastic Gamecock fan and could often be found cheering on his favorite team. He also had a love for boating, thoroughly enjoying the peace it brought him. Renne will be remembered fondly for his adventurous spirit, evident in his participation at mud rallies and love for racing. This included involvement with many race teams, dating back to the days on dirt at Summerville Speedway.

His family, friends, and community will continue celebrating his life, his passion for sports, and his love for all things community. His absence is deeply felt, and he is dearly missed.
