Obituary

Marianne Davis Monroe, 88, of Camden, SC, died on December 22, 2022. She was the widow of Donald Monroe, of Bradenton, Fl, and the daughter of Edgar and Mary Dwight Davis of Pinopolis, SC. She is survived by a sister, Katherine Davis DeLoach of Camden, SC, a brother, William Edgar Davis, of Pinopolis, SC, a son, David Dwight Monroe, and several nieces and nephews.

Marianne graduated from Berkeley High School and then embarked on a 35-year plus career as a Registered Nurse. After beginning her career in Charleston, she moved to Bradenton, FL, where she worked for a group practice of physicians for many years. After her husband's death and her retirement, she moved to Camden, SC to be closer to family.

Marianne was a caring and compassionate advocate for her patients and dedicated to her profession. She loved living in Camden and enjoyed nature, gardening, and bird watching. she loved dolls, acquiring an extensive collection. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with family in Camden and visiting family in Pinopolis.

Her graveside funeral service will be held at Black Oak Cemetery, Wednesday afternoon, January 4, 2022, at 1 o'clock.
