Marian (Strong) Taylor

Marian Strong Taylor, 88, of Macedonia, a homemaker and widow of Delton Samuel Taylor, passed away Monday May 17, 2021.

Marian was born December 13, 1932 in Williamsburg County, a daughter of Marion B. Strong and Susan Tisdale Strong.

A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Marian loved cooking and having the family gather for Sunday lunches. She enjoyed gardening, canning vegetables from her garden and sitting on her front porch. A member of Providence Baptist Church, Marian loved the Lord and her church family very much. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.  

Surviving are two sons- Dennis S. Taylor and his wife, Debbie, of St. George; Edward D. Taylor and his wife, Louise, of Moncks Corner; two daughters- Phyllis M. Taylor of Moncks Corner and Jennifer T. Owens and her husband, Calvin of Bonneau; two sisters- Grace Williams of Rock Hill and Betty Street of Kingstree; one brother- John Strong also of Kingstree; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Marian was predeceased by three brothers.

Her graveside service will be held at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Macedonia, Thursday morning May 20, 2021 at 11:30 am. The family will receive friends at Russell Funeral Chapel Wednesday evening May 19, 2021 from 6 to 8 o’clock.
