Judy Carole (Pruitt) Newberry

Judy Carol Pruitt Newberry, known lovingly to friends and family as Judy, passed away on December 29, 2023, at the age of 76. Born on October 24, 1947, in Jewell Ridge, Virginia.

Judy spent many years contributing to her community through her work at Family Dollar and Walmart in Jamestown. Her colleagues will remember her for her hard work and warm smile. Beyond her professional endeavors, Judy had a rich life filled with music and collectibles. She treasured her doll collection and found joy in the melodies of old country music.

She is survived by a loving family: her daughter Patty Newberry; sisters Diana Byrd, Sue Pruitt, and Sharon Coleman; sisters-in-law Wilma Fletcher and Jan Newberry; as well as her brother-in-law Monnie Newberry. Judy’s legacy also lives on through her numerous cherished nieces and nephews. Judy now joins her beloved husband Ronnie L. Newberry and her sons Brian and Tony Newberry, who preceded her in passing.
