JoAnne (Steadman) Mitchum

JoAnne Steadman Mitchum, 85, of Bethera, widow of Paul L. Mitchum, passed away Thursday May 13, 2021 at her residence.

JoAnne was born December 8, 1935 in Moncks Corner, the daughter of Thomas E. Steadman and Etta White Steadman.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a special friend to have. JoAnne had owned her own upholstery shop in the community and enjoyed camping. Lately she was very involved in genealogy.

Surviving are three sons- Dusty Mitchum and his wife Laura, of St. Augustine Fl.; Glenn T. Mitchum and his wife Pam, of Bethera; Mark W. Mitchum and his wife Belinda, of Bethera; a daughter- Donna M. Hall and her husband John, also of Bethera; two brothers- Sherwin Steadman and his wife Wanda, of California; Tommy Steadman and his wife Mary, of Cameron, S.C.; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Monday afternoon May 17, 2021 at 1 o'clock. Interment will follow in Berea United Methodist Church Cemetery in Bethera. The family will receive friends at Russell Funeral Chapel from 12 noon until the hour of service.
