Janice (Lyons) Hood

Janice Faye Lyons Hood, 72, of Macedonia, widow of Robert “Bobby” Hood, passed away Thursday April 29, 2021.

Janice was born  August 16, 1948 in Columbia, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Richard Carl Lyons and the late Louise Mills Lyons.

A graduate of Macedonia High School, Janice loved her family with all her heart. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who enjoyed doting on her grandchildren. She loved The Lord and was a member of Moncks Corner Pentecostal Holiness Church. Janice was an avid reader, and read her bible every day. She enjoyed Netflix, especially the Walking Dead and owned an extensive movie collection. Janice had been employed by CR Bard for over 30 years. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

.Surviving are two daughters- Tania Kessler and her husband, Stephen, of Macedonia; Sonia Pye and her husband, Paskel, of Macedonia; three grandchildren- Norman Leo Strickland, III, Robert Daniel Strickland and Gracie Alana Brinson all of Macedonia; a sister- Linda Lyons Fincher of Moncks Corner; seven nephews and six nieces. In addition to her husband and parents, Janice is predeceased by a brother- Carl Sherwood Lyons.

Her memorial service will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Tuesday evening May 4, 2021 at 6 o’clock. The family will receive friends from 5 o’clock until the hour of service.
