Frances Walpole Sorensen

Frances Walpole Sorensen, born February 17, 1949, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.

Frances was predeceased by her mother, Mary Selby Williams of Moncks Corner, and father, Dale Arthur Sorensen of South Dakota.

Living on Johns Island with her maternal grandmother and great-aunt, she attended the Funderburk Kindergarten and Day Nursery in North Charleston. She continued her education with her great-aunt Carmen, a beloved Saint Andrew High School English Teacher.

In mature years, Frances lived comfortably with four other ladies under the auspices of the Charleston Disabilities Board.

Frances loved and enjoyed her family and friends. She enjoyed occasions that brought families together, whatever the reason.  Frances’ claim to fame was her ever-present “Word Searches”. She was also a very competitive player in group games. It was always “good luck” to have Frances on your team!
