Flora Richardson Jones (MacNeil)

Flora Richardson Jones (MacNeil), 79, formerly of Bonneau, passed away on March 5, 2022.

Flora was born September 3, 1942, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Brinkley “B.J.” Richardson and Frankie Addis Richardson.

She was raised in Lancaster, South Carolina, and graduated from Lancaster High School in 1960. Flora later moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where she met her late husband, Richard Jones. Together they relocated to Clover, South Carolina, in January of 1976. She worked as an administrative assistant for La Marick Beauty and then Rutland Plastisols. After her husband’s death, she moved to Bonneau, South Carolina, to be with her daughter.

Surviving are a daughter- Kimberly Brewer and her husband, Brantley; three grandchildren- Dorothy Thornley, Ricky Thornley, and James Brewer; a sister- Elsie Byrne and her husband, Dick; a brother-in-law- Ed Jones and his wife, Becky; a sister-in-law- Caryn Riley and her husband, Dave; a nephew- Mark Byrne and his wife, Donna, and a niece- Karen Kinzey and her husband, Bruce.

Her graveside service will be held at Belair Methodist Church Cemetery, 8095 Shelley Mullis Road, Indian Land, SC, Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 1 o’clock. Arrangements are being made by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner.
