Donald Milton Caddell

Donald Milton Caddell, 85, of Iva, SC, formerly of Moncks Corner, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022, at his residence.

Donald was born on January 8, 1937, in Moncks Corner, the son of James Walter Caddell and Mary Emily Cales Caddell. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Berkeley Masonic Lodge #269. A long-time Road Inspector for Berkeley County and the South Carolina Highway Department, Donald worked 61 years before his retirement. He enjoyed working in his flower and vegetable gardens and watching his favorite football, baseball, and NASCAR racing teams. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family and friends.

Surviving are his son- Donald Milton Caddell, ll of Iva; a daughter- Christine Caddell of Dover, AR; two sisters- Gaynell C. Hiers of Walterboro; Vera Carolyn Caddell Kirby and her husband, Traxler “Junior” of North Charleston. He was predeceased by three brothers- Harvey Caddell, Ralph “Benny” Caddell, and James “Freddy” Caddell.

His funeral service will be held at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Thursday afternoon, November 17, 2022, at 1 o’clock. Interment will follow in Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 12 o’clock until the hour of service.
