DiAnn (Feagin) Hood

The Honorable DiAnn Feagin Hood, of Bonneau passed away Monday January 11, 2021 on her 69th birthday.

DiAnn was born January 11, 1952 in Conway, a daughter of the late Reverend A.P. Feagin and Murrell Joye Feagin.

A 1968 graduate of Macedonia High School, DiAnn went on to USC School of Law, and served as a judge for the towns of Bonneau, St. Stephen, Jamestown and Lake City for over 35 years. She was a licensed contractor who had also obtained a business degree from The Citadel and owned and operated Steel Magnolias Floral Design in Moncks Corner.

DiAnn served local churches and communities in several roles over many years. She loved children and taught music at St. Stephen Academy, Sunday School at Bonneau P.H. Church, she was the choir leader, cantata director and counselor at church youth camp. DiAnn loved her pets and show horses, having won many equestrian awards and ribbons. She enjoyed traveling, nice clothes and had an extensive shoe collection. As a florist, DiAnn not only arranged flowers for many local weddings but was also known to officiate and sing as well. She was a “Mother to Many” and will be sadly missed by her family and host of friends.

Surviving are her husband, Howard Hood, Jr. of Bonneau; a son- Theodore “Mac” Hood of Pinopolis; siblings- Brenda Newton of Lancaster; Ashton Feagin and his wife, Glennis, of North, SC; Tom Feagin and his wife, LeeAnn, of Pennsylvania; Carole McGee and her husband, Ted, of Columbia; Dena Feagin of Columbia and Dale Feagin and his wife, Cindy, of Summerville; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her best friend Debbi Wright Cook.

Her funeral service will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Thursday morning January 14, 2021 at 12 o’clock, interment will follow in Bonneau Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 11 o’clock until the hour of service.
