Coleman Walter Dangerfield, Sr., 100, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, husband of Hattie Dingle Dangerfield, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022, peacefully in his home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Coleman was born June 8, 1922, in Berkeley County, the son of the late William Lawton Dangerfield and Pearl Sims Dangerfield.
A dedicated husband and loving father and grandfather, Coleman was a wounded US Navy veteran serving his country during WWII. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he worked in construction and farming and later ran the family-operated saw mill on Lazy Hill Road for 20 years. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters- Francis Roberts and her husband, Homer of St. Stephen; Tannie Parker and her husband, Michael of Moncks Corner; one son- Coleman “Bucky” Walter Dangerfield, Jr. and his wife, Dot of Moncks Corner; and nine grandchildren.
His graveside service will be held at Groomsville Cemetery in Moncks Corner, Tuesday evening, July 19, 2022, at 5 o’clock, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL.
