Charles A. Langston

Charles Alvis Langston, 68, of Moncks Corner, SC, husband to Peggy Diane Langston, entered into eternal rest on May 16, 2022.

Born on June 6, 1953, in Montgomery, Al, Charles was the son of the late Carey L. Langston and Mary Mann Hydrick.

A retired mechanic for the US Army after 20 plus years of service and for the Department of Defense for an additional 15 years, Charles was fiercely committed to serving his country. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, playing horseshoes, drag racing, and cheering on his favorite football team, Alabama Crimson Tide.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters- Georgianna Savage and her husband, Trevor of Bonneau, SC, and Jessica Hewette and her husband, Chris of Moncks Corner, SC; two brothers- James Scott Langston and Carey L. Langston, Jr. of Moncks Corner; two sisters- Ellen Demuske and Melissa McKee of Harleyville; three grandchildren- David Langston, Allysen Hewette and Austin Hewette.

His memorial service with full military honors will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 4:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 until the hour of service.
