Obituary

Charles Dudley Edmonds, 65, of Summerville, passed away on December 22, 2022, at his residence.

Charles was born on April 6, 1957, in Columbus, Georgia, a son of James David Edmonds and Edna Faye Bloomer Edmonds. He was a member of The American Legion, Post 166, and he proudly served his country for 20 years in the US Air Force. Charles will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  

He is survived by a daughter- Rebecca Edmonds of Goose Creek; a son- David Edmonds of Woodbridge, VA; three grandchildren- Dilion, Liberty, and Nadiyah Ravenell of Goose Creek; and a brother- Clayton Edmonds of Goose Creek. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Sandra Edmonds.

His funeral service will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Tuesday evening, December 27, 2022, at 6 o’clock. Interment will take place on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 12 noon in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery with full military honors.
