Barbara Jean (Willis) Aikman-Childs

 Barbara Jean Willis Aikman-Childs, of Moncks Corner, first married to the late Ronald Lee Aikman and wife of Roger W. Childs passed away Wednesday May 19, 2021.

Barbara was born August 8, 1944 in Charleston, a daughter of Thomas Carson Willis and Eula Crosby Willis.

A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Barbara was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers, as well as quilting, sewing and canning. Barbara had worked for Trident Hospital as an insurance and registration clerk, she will be sadly missed.

Surviving in addition to her husband are four daughters- Teresa Aikman of Moncks Corner; Pamela Howard of Summerville; Sara Aikman of Moncks Corner and Annice Aikman also of Moncks Corner; a son- Chavis Aikman of Moncks Corner; three sisters- Pat Graham and her husband, Jack, of Aiken; Dianne Grace of Moncks Corner; Tommie Provost of Charleston; a brother- Carson Willis of Aiken; two step sons- Allen Childs and Matthew Childs; eighteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Barbara is predeceased by a son- Timothy Aikman.

Her funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Moncks Corner, Monday afternoon May 24, 2021 at 1 o’clock. Interment will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 12 o’clock noon until the hour of service.
