Ann Russell

Elizabeth Ann Russell, 80, of Moncks Corner passed away December 1, 2020.

Ann was born September 18, 1940 in Williamsburg County a daughter of William Aiken Russell and Annie Elizabeth Ballentine.

A 1958 graduate of Berkeley High School Ann had worked her entire life as an Administrative Assistant she was known to be “everyone’s secretary”. She had worked in the Land Department of Santee Cooper and later retired as the Administrative Assistant to the CEO of Trident Hospital. Ann spent many years after her retirement employed by Russell Funeral Chapel taking on any job that needed to be done and supporting her family and their business. She took an interest in ancestry and genealogy and was a “wealth of information” concerning both sides of her family, she will be sadly missed.

Surviving are two sons- Gray Soapes and his wife, Sarah, of Mount Pleasant; John Soapes and his wife, Jules, of Orlando, Florida; four grandchildren- Chandler Soapes, Kandes Soapes, Jacob Soapes and Jackson Soapes. In addition to her parents Ann is predeceased by a brother- Bill Russell.

Her graveside service will be held in St. Stephen Episcopal Church Cemetery, Saturday December 5, 2020 at 3 o’clock directed by Russell Funeral Chapel.
