Sheila Osborn Frank

Frank, Sheila (Osborn) 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2026.

Sheila was born on December 28, 1934 in London, England. She survived WWII and the London Blitz as a child. She had a wicked sense of humor and a caring heart that she shared with everyone she met. She was the light of her family and to everyone who was lucky enough to know her. She had a lifelong faith in Jesus and embraced the salvation he gifted to her.

She married the love of her life, Cyrus “Ed” Frank on March 10, 1955 while he was stationed in London serving with the United States Airforce. Sheila and Ed raised their family in the Air Force and eventually settled in Summerville, SC. Sheila was a proud homemaker and an active member of the Charleston Amateur Radio Society for many years with the call sign KT4YW. She was instrumental in proctoring tests for budding Hams and licensing old hands and for organizing the CARS annual Ham Fest. She had a typical English green thumb and spent many hours tending to her garden and reviving plants and flowers that many had already given up on. Her greatest pride was her family. She dedicated her life to nurturing her sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her parents Elias Osborn and Caroline Ada Osborn, husband Ed Frank; her son, Gary Frank; and a sister Norma Cook.

She is survived by 4 beloved sons, Dale Frank (Cindy) of Augusta, Mark Frank (Cheryl) of Moncks Corner, SC, Todd Frank (Jennifer) of Summerville, SC and Ryan Frank of Moncks Corner, SC; brother, Alexander Osborn (Dorothy) of Kent, England; 6 adored grandchildren, 12 precious great-grandchildren; many loved nieces and nephews and a cherished daughter of her heart, Vanessa McNamara of North Charleston, SC.
