Sandra Key Lipsey

Sandra Key Lipsey, a cherished member of her family and community, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025, in St. Stephen, South Carolina. Born on June 25, 1946, Sandra dedicated over 30 years of her life to civil service, where she made a significant impact through her commitment and hard work.

Sandra's life was filled with love and joy, particularly in the company of her family. She is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, Robert Lee Lipsey Jr., as well as her children: Carolyn Tijing (Gene), Charlotte Coker, Robert Lipsey III, and Gary Lynn Lipsey. Her legacy continues through her eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, who carry forward the warmth and kindness she imparted throughout her life.

Outside of her professional accomplishments, Sandra had a deep passion for nature. She found joy in fishing and camping, activities that allowed her to connect with the great outdoors and create lasting memories with her loved ones.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Martha Steerman Key and Stewart Hampton Key Sr., a brother Stewart Key Jr., and one grandchild.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Sandra's life during a visitation on July 26, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Russell Funeral Chapel located at 107 West Main Street, Moncks Corner, SC 29461. This will be followed by a memorial service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.

Her family takes solace in the memories shared and the love that will continue to live on in their hearts. Sandra Key Lipsey will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, whose spirit will forever remain in the lives of those she touched.
