Robert E. Mixson

Robert, E. Mixson, 72, of Moncks Corner, retired mechanic with the D.O.T., widower of Peggy Ann Alger Mixson passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015.

Robert was born October 18, 1942, in Charleston, son of Columbus Leo (C.L.) Mixson Sr. and Madeleine Carnes Mixson.

Surviving are a son- Mitchell DeWayne Mixson and his wife, Deirdre, of Huntsville, Al.; 3 step-daughters- Lisa Campbell and her husband, Roger, of Lacey Springs, Al.;
Karen Montgomery of Lacey Springs, Al.; Sharon Case and her husband, Jerry, of Union Hill, Al.; 1 brother- Ronald A. Mixson and his wife, Freda, of Goose Creek; 2 sisters- Marilyn J. Kopecky of Summerville and Gwendolyn Sue Mixson of Raleigh, N.C.; 5 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, C.L. Mixson Jr.

His funeral service will be held at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner, Thursday afternoon, August 6, 2015, at 1 o’clock. A private family interment will follow in Summerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 11 o’clock until the hour of service.
