Ray Harley Bayless Jr.

Ray Harley Bayless Jr., 69, passed away on February 6, 2026, in Pinopolis, South Carolina. He was born on March 14, 1956, in Cherry Point, North Carolina, the beloved son of Ray Harley Bayless Sr. and Ocie Lee Russell. Ray was a United States Air Force Veteran, retired as an electrical technician from Nucor Steel, and a beloved and devoted member of Trinity Church, Pinopolis.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Betty Jo Ware Bayless; his children, Rachel Bayless Orr (husband, Bruce Orr), Joanna L. McBrayer, David N. Bayless (wife, Brandy Bayless), and Jerry Kenneth McBrayer (wife, Judy McBrayer); 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; his beloved sister, Judith Ann Williams; his stepsister, Michelle Roach; his mother-in-law, Florrie Riggan; and numerous extended family members.

Ray was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He loved the outdoors, being active in his church, and spending time with friends and loved ones. He will be missed beyond words and time.
