Mollie Gaskins Murphy

Mollie Gaskins Murphy, 94, of Shulerville, a homemaker and widow of Herman Whiteford Murphy, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017.

Ms. Mollie was born April 18, 1922 in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of Henry Greely Gaskins and Lula Rabon Gaskins.

Surviving are a son- Charles Murphy and his wife, Annette, of Holly Hill; a daughter- Patricia Anderson of Summerville; four grandchildren-Kevin Murphy and his wife, Deb; Crystal Dickerson and her husband, Alan; Misty Kennedy and her husband, Patrick; four great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a granddaughter-Bretta Anderson; a brother-Willard Gaskins and a sister- Betty Jean Crawford.

Her funeral service will be held at New Hope United Methodist Church, Shulerville, SC, Wednesday afternoon, January 18, 2017, at 2 o’clock. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL Tuesday evening, January 17, 2017 from 6 to 8 o’clock and on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the church from 1 o'clock until the hour of service.
