Michael Horace McCutchen

Michael Horace McCutchen, affectionately known as Mike, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, at the age of 66 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. Born on January 18, 1960, in Kingstree, South Carolina, Mike was a son of Horace L. McCutchen and Doris Holleman McCutchen, both of whom have preceded him in death.

Mike was a proud graduate of Berkeley High School. Throughout his career, he was known as a hard, dedicated worker, earning respect and admiration from both colleagues and friends.

Mike was deeply engaged in his community and was proud to be a member of Faith Moncks Corner. His commitment to service was reflected in his church involvement and his passion for volunteering, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. A true sports enthusiast, Mike found joy in both NASCAR and Gamecock Football, often sharing these interests with family and friends. 

He is survived by his brother, Mitch McCutchen and his wife Dawn; his sister, Michelle Furr and her husband Donald; along with his nieces and nephews, Hannah and Jarod Furr, and Shelby and Camryn McCutchen. Each of them held a special place in Mike's heart, and he took great pride in their accomplishments.

Visitation for Michael will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Russell Funeral Chapel, located at 107 West Main Street, Moncks Corner, SC, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same location, commencing at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Berkeley Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mike's honor to assist with his burial expenses.

Michael Horace McCutchen will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to work, spirited engagement with friends and family, and the joy he found in serving his community.
