Melanie Dee Hood

Melanie Dee Hood, 50, of Macedonia, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016.

Melanie was born April 2, 1966, in Berkeley County, a daughter of the late Roosevelt Mike Hood and Janice Bilton Hood.

She was a 1984 graduate of Macedonia High School. She spent many years caring for her ill family members. Melanie was a devoted aunt who inspired and loved her nieces and nephews more than anything. She had a witty sense of humor and will be sadly missed.

Surviving are a brother- Michael Hood; nieces- Meagan Mitchell Brown and her husband, Chris; Sarah Grace Hood; nephews- Joshua and Ryan Hood; great niece- Alexis Mitchell; great nephew- J.T. Mitchell. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister- Robin Hood Griffin and a nephew- Shane Mitchell.

A memorial service will be held at Oak Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, in Macedonia, Monday evening, August 29, 2016, at 6 o'clock.
