Marvin Lee Thomas, Sr., 77, of Orangeburg, widower of Betty Byrd Thomas, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012, in a Charleston hospital.
Marvin was born May 17, 1934, in Huntington, W. VA., the son of John Charles Thomas and Lillian Ray Pollack Thomas.
He served in the U.S.Air Force and had retired as a truck driver.
Surviving are his children – Lynn Shirey of St. Stephen; John Thomas of Cross; Kevin Thomas of Hardeville; Daniel Thomas of Ohio; Philip Thomas of Delaware; Marvin Thomas, Jr., of Cordova; and Patricia Orskey of Ladson, 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Jeffery Thomas.
Services will be private.
