Glenda Louise Fanning Taylor, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on October 15, 2025, at the age of 75. She was born on March 27, 1950, in Augusta, Georgia, to Horace Lynwood Fanning and Nettie Oliver Fanning Brinson.
Known affectionately as Louise, she was a remarkable woman who devoted her life to her family and friends. Louise was deeply involved in her family's lives, always ensuring that they were surrounded by love and warmth. She had a special joy for cooking, often preparing meals for family gatherings. Louise loved nothing more than sharing good food and creating beautiful memories with those she held dear.
Her strong faith was a guiding factor in her life. Louise lived with a profound love for the Lord, which influenced her interactions with everyone around her. She thrived in nurturing relationships and was especially proud of her grandchildren, who brought immense joy into her life. Louise also enjoyed fishing and traveling in the mountains.
Louise is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years, Edward D. Taylor; daughters Glenda Turpin and her husband Mike, and Heather Dillard and her husband Clay; sons Chad Taylor and Josh Taylor and his wife Christina; brother H.L. Fanning; grandchildren Ralph James "RJ" Willey Jr. (Kaci Sapp), Chelsey Ann Deforrest (Joshua), Jaycen Wayne Elliott, Dylan Dillard, Brad Dillard, Morgan Taylor, Chad Taylor Jr., and Alyssa Taylor; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace Lynwood Fanning and Nettie Oliver Fanning Brinson; her brother Billy Fanning; her sister Darlene Colbourne; and her son Doddie Wayne Elliott Jr.
A visitation will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, located at 107 West Main Street, Moncks Corner, South Carolina, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will follow, beginning at 12:00 noon. Interment will be in Berkeley Memorial Gardens.
