Louise Mills Lyons

Louise Mills Lyons 90, of Bonneau, widow of Richard Carl Lyons, passed away Sunday evening, January 13, 2013, in a St. Stephen Nursing Home.

Mrs.Lyons was born August 26, 1922, in Berkeley County, a daughter of James Mills and Mary Maree Mills.

She was a devoted Christian who dearly loved her Lord, and who devoted her life to her church, family and friends.

Surviving are two daughters – Janice F. Hood (Robert Lee Hood) of Bonneau; and Linda L. Fincher (Donald “Country” Daniels) of Moncks Corner; 7 grandchildren – Tania Brinson; Sonia Strickland; Trey Fincher; Jay Fincher; Lyssa Tierney; Sherwood Lyons and Amy Schumaker; and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Carl Sherwood Lyons.

Her funeral service will be held in Oak Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church Wednesday afternoon, January 16, 2013, at 2 o’clock. Interment will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.
