Louise Chinners “Sister” Austin, 71, of Moncks Corner, wife of Harry Austin of Friendly Barber Shop on Main Street, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018.
Louise was born September 9, 1946, in Dorchester County, a daughter of James Emmette Chinners and Pearl Rosser Chinners.
A 1965 graduate of Berkeley High School, she had been employed by the Berkeley County Probate Office, Berkeley County Auditor’s Office and Bryant Insurance Company. She later became a homemaker and stay at home Mom.
Louise loved all animals, dogs, cats, birds and squirrels and often volunteered at the Doc Williams SPCA. She was a member of St. Johns Baptist Church and the Ladies Walking with Jesus Group. She was a devoted wife of 26 years, a loving mother and friend, she will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Surviving in addition to her husband are- a son- Dale Austin and his wife, Terri, of Moncks Corner; two daughters- Tracy Branham and her husband, William, of Isle of Palms; Jennifer Driggers and her husband, Danny, of Moncks Corner; her twin brother- Bo Chinners and his wife, Dianne, of Fair Hope, Alabama; seven grandchildren- John Cabaniss IV, Jared Cabaniss, Hannah Austin, Charity Austin, Madison Driggers, Daniel Driggers and Rylie Driggers. Niece- Tiffany Chinners; nephew- Derek Chinners and his wife, Daniela; great nephew- Luke Chinners and great niece-Addison Chinners.
Her memorial service will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Tuesday morning June 26, 2018, at 10 o’clock.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the Doc Williams SPCA, 2673 S. Live Oak Dr., Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
