Judie Lewis Lassiter, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, at her home in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. Born on January 15, 1943, in Conway, South Carolina, Judie lived a life marked by devotion to family, community, and a spirit of warmth and kindness that touched all who knew her.
Throughout her career and beyond, as a member of the Spivey Women Descendants and retired tax assessor with Berkeley County, Judie was known for her steadfast commitment and generous heart. She enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren, engaging her mind with puzzles, and sharing rides with her beloved husband Sam in his treasured AC Cobra—a pastime that brought her great happiness.
Judie is survived by her son, Kenny Adams, and his wife Shelly; her daughter, Melinda Norris, and her husband Paul; her brother, Dale Lewis, and his wife Chrissie; sister-in-law Barbara Lewis; stepdaughter Jenny Egner and her husband Elijah; as well as her grandchildren Kenneth Adams and his wife Kelly, Madison Adams, Dylan Rietz, Nichole Rietz, Isabella Rietz, Malaya Weeks, and an extended family that includes six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick Donald Lewis and Mildred Louise Spivey Lewis; her devoted husband of 35 years, Samuel W. Lassiter Jr.; and her brother Freddy Lewis.
A graveside service to honor and remember Judie Lewis Lassiter will be held on, Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. John's Baptist Church Cemetery located at 1142 Sugar Hill Drive in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, where friends and family will gather to bid their final farewell.
