John Crittenden Threlkeld

John Crittenden Threlkeld, 71, of Walterboro, retired Navy Master Chief, and husband of Rebecca Rayburn Threlkeld, died Monday in a Charleston hospital.

John was born March 9, 1941, in Lebanon, KY, the son of Albert Threlkeld and Janis Huckleberry Threlkeld.

Surviving in addition to his wife of Walterboro; are two daughters – Amy Burgess and her husband, Ron, of Moncks Corner; and Susan McLuarin of Charleston; 3 grandchildren – Kyle Burgess; Drew McLaurin and companion, Brook Chavis; and Duncan McLaurin; a great granddaughter – Kennedy Belle McLaurin; two sisters – Margie Aker and her husband, Fred; and Kate Threlkeld, both of Kentucky; and a brother – Joe Threlkeld and his wife, Alice, of Nebraska.

A celebration of John's life was held at The Burgess residence.
