John Bernard Cowart Iii

John Bernard Cowart, III, 42, of Bonneau, died Thursday, March 17, 2011, in a Charleston hospital.

John was born November 1, 1968, in Elkhart, IN, the son of John B. Cowart, Jr., and Avis Shurlknight
Cowart. He was a member of Hood’s Chapel United Methodist Church. A trade welder, he was
a farmer and a avid hunter.

Surviving are his mother of Bonneau; his maternal grandmother – Thelma Gatlin Shurlknight of Bonneau; and many extended family members.

His funeral service was held in Hood’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Sunday afternoon, March 20, 2011,
at 2 o’clock. Interment
followed in the church cemetery directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner.
