Joan Katz Hill was born in Whitesboro, NY on December 1, 1965 and passed away peacefully on November 19, 2023, in Charleston, SC. She is remembered as a loving daughter, a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and a doting grandmother, her kindness evident in every facet of her life.
She was the daughter of Richard P. Katz and Linda Ellenwood Katz, both of whom survive her. For 37 cherished years, Joan was the beloved wife of George W. Hill. She was an extraordinary mother to her two daughters, Rachel Infinger and Maria Cooley, and her son, Christopher Hill and leaves behind a legacy of love in her eleven grandchildren.
Completing her tight-knit and loving family were Joan's two sisters, Brenda O'Keefe and Shari Bernstine, along with their husbands, Michael O’Keefe and Joe Bernstine. They stood by Joan throughout life’s ebbs and flows, always providing warmth and support.
A hardworking and dedicated paralegal for Motley Rice Law Firm, Joan combined her professional and personal life seamlessly. Her vigorous work ethic was a testament to her character, highlighting her generous nature.
Joan's adventurous spirit shone through in her passion for camping, horseback riding, and spending time with her life long friends Ray and Tina Blackwell. No matter where her adventures took her, the happiness she found in the company of her children, grandchildren, and friends was immeasurable.
