Jeffrey Scott Weathers, born on March 4, 1972 in Greenville, S.C., passed away peacefully at home in Moncks Corner on January 29, 2026. A beloved community member, Jeff dedicated his life to his family, profession, and the youth of his town.
Jeff was a proud graduate of Dartmouth College, where he received his degree in 1994, and was an active member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, as well as a participant on the football team. He furthered his education at the University of South Carolina School of Law, graduating in 1997. Following his academic pursuits, Jeff became a distinguished member of the South Carolina Bar Association, building a respected career in law.
A devoted husband for 28 years, Jeff is survived by his wife, Clisha Fogle Weathers, and their three sons, Jackson, Hampton, and Davis Weathers, all of Moncks Corner. He is also remembered fondly by his parents, Bob Young Weathers and Kathy Head Weathers of Georgetown, his sister, Ashley Cooper, and her husband Bob of Spartanburg, and his brother, Greg Weathers, along with his wife Lindsay of Pawleys Island.
Throughout his life, Jeff exemplified the values of mentorship and community service. He was a faithful husband and a wonderful father, dedicating his time to coaching youth sports for the Town of Moncks Corner and the YMCA. His commitment to nurturing young talent was evident, as he sought to be a guiding influence to many.
Jeff's passion for the outdoors was reflected in his hobbies, which included offshore fishing, hunting, and recently, fly fishing. He was an avid supporter of Clemson football, always eager to share in the excitement of the game with family and friends.
His legacy extends beyond his family and career; he maintained a lasting connection with his fraternity brothers through a group text, embodying the importance of friendship and camaraderie throughout his life.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the First Presbyterian Church of Moncks Corner, located at 419 West Main St, Moncks Corner, SC 29461, starting at 11:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, directed by Russell Funeral Chapel.
