Janice Bilton Hood

Janice Bilton Hood, 75, of Macedonia, widow of Mike Hood, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at her residence.

Janice was born January 2, 1940, in Berkeley County, a daughter of Will Rowell Bilton and Dolan Orvin Bilton.

A graduate of Macedonia High School, she was retired from the Berkeley County School System where she served as a teachers aid. She was a member of Macedonia Christian Church.

Surviving are 2 daughters- Renae Hood Griffin and Melanie Dee Hood both of Macedonia; a son- Michael Hood of Macedonia; 4 grandchildren- Meagan Brown and her husband, Chris; Josh Hood, Ryan Hood and Sarah Grace Hood all of Macedonia; 2 great grandchildren- Alexis Mitchell and Johnathon Mitchell. She was predeceased by a brother- Styles Orvin Bilton; a grandson- Randy Shane Mitchell; and a son-in-law- Rick Griffin.

Her funeral service be held at Macedonia Christian Church, Thursday afternoon, February 5, 2015, at 3 o’clock. The family will receive friends at the church from 2 o’clock until the hour of service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, directed by Russell Funeral Chapel, Moncks Corner.
