Janice Lee Parker Gleaton, 75, widow of Beverly J. Gleaton, Jr. passed away September 1, 2022.
Janice was born on April 26, 1947, in Moncks Corner, the daughter of Ralph Elliott Parker, Sr., and Ruth Mantheim Moore Parker.
Janice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Janice was a retiree of SPAWAR and a member of the Pinopolis Garden Club and Broughton Hall Book Club. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, painting, crafting, shopping, camping, working in her yard, and spending time with her family.
Janice is survived by her daughters- Celeste C. Billington and her husband, Richard of McClellanville; Dawn C. Micalizzi and her husband, Marc of Mt. Pleasant; Louise G. Johnson and her husband, Keith of Myrtle Beach; Marie G. McGilliard of Myrtle Beach; eight grandchildren- Sydney Elliott Howe; Gedney Main Howe, IV and his wife, Mae; Charles Arthur Howe; Thad Marc Micalizzi and his wife, Tori; Cooper Anthony Micalizzi; Shane Bryan Johnson; Katlyn Kathleen McGilliard and Ashlee Lorraine McGilliard; three sisters- Judy Gilliam of Ladson; Susie Paxton and her husband, Steve of Florida and Beverly Baturin of Hollywood; one brother-BGen(ret) Ralph Elliott (Chip) Parker and his wife, Linda of Nevada; sister-in-law- Brenda Parker of Charleston; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers- John David Parker and Gilbert Parker, and a great-granddaughter, Molly Jane Micalizzi.
Her memorial service will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel, Friday morning, September 9, 2022, at 11 o’clock. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 10 o’clock until the hour of service.
