Janet McCutchen Creel

Janet McCutchen Creel, born on May 22, 1944, in Kingstree, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at her residence in St. Stephen on February 14, 2026.

Janet was a devoted pet owner, and her dog Rover brought her immense joy and companionship. Janet had a great enthusiasm for life, which was evident in her many hobbies and interests. She loved antique shopping, the excitement of gambling, and the pleasure of dining out. Janet also cherished her trips to the mountains, where she found peace in nature. She held a special place in her heart for her extended family, to whom she was deeply devoted.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews, who will remember her vibrant personality she brought to their lives. Janet was predeceased by her husband, David P. Creel, as well as her parents, Lester Amar McCutchen and Evelyn McClary McCutchen. She is also predeceased by her brothers and sisters.

The family will hold visitation at Russell Funeral Chapel in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Berkeley Memorial Gardens. Janet's vibrant spirit and memorable life will be celebrated by those she touched, as they come together to honor her legacy. She will be missed dearly, but her memories will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
