James Richard Buckner

James Richard “Buck” Buckner, 82 of Bonneau, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010, in a local nursing home.

Richard was born March 22, 1928 at Little Rock, AR., the son of William M. Buckner and Lillian L.
Younts Buckner.

He was a retired lab technician with WestVaCo and a member of First Baptist Church of Bonneau.

Surviving are the members of his adopted family: Halayne Day of Bonneau; Cheryl and Dennis Carson of
St. Stephen; Karen and Phil Burke of Walterboro; Steve and Maggie Parker of Augusta, W.Va; Louis Parker of
San Diego, CA; Sonny Parker of Bonneau; and his many friends of First Baptist Church of Bonneau.

His funeral service will be held at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner, Saturday afternoon, May 22,
at 1 o’clock with visitation for family and friends, one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in
Carolina Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Bonneau, P. O. Box 130, Bonneau,
S. C. 29431.
