Freddie McKay Dangerfield of Moncks Corner passed away July 30, 2026.
Born on January 21, 1943 in the old Moncks Corner hospital, he was the youngest son of Mose David and Lila Wise Dangerfield. He spent most of his childhood on their family farm near The Barrows community.

A talented singer, he served for many years as music minister for First Christian Church and Ebenezer Methodist, where he also served as lay leader.
Freddie was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Mose D. Jr. and Norris W. Dangerfield.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Gerrell Yates Dangerfield, his sons Mark (Beth) of Memphis, TN, David W. (Lauren) of Barnwell, and Philip of Goose Creek. Grandchildren, Madonna Nicole Dangerfield and Lila (Grant) Rogers of Louisville, KY and Lori Mae and Rowan Dangerfield of Barnwell.
He also leaves his sisters-in-law Kathleen Dangerfield, Virginia Dangerfield; brothers-in-law James (Sheila) Yates and Franklin (Susan) Yates; special cousin Donna (Albert) Heath, several beloved nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
