Elizabeth Ann Dennis Wrenn, affectionately known as Liz, was born on August 14, 1947, in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. She departed this life on July 12, 2025, in Charleston, South Carolina, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and community.
Liz was a beloved daughter of the late John Fleetwood Dennis and Evelyn Brinson Dennis Paige of Bonneau. She was predeceased by her brother, John Fleetwood Dennis Jr., and is survived by her sisters Debra “Debbie” Elaine Thomas and Annie Evelyn Primeau, who cherished her deeply.
In 1963, Liz married the love of her life, Rembert E. Wrenn Sr. Together, they celebrated 62 years of marriage, building a family rooted in love and togetherness. Liz was the devoted mother of William Fleetwood Wrenn and his wife Lisa, Rembert E. “Bubba” Wrenn Jr. and Michelle, Rodney Wayne Wrenn and Kimberly, Teresa and Frank Fuda, and Debra Lynn Moody and her husband Cliff Brooks. Her grandchildren- Lacey Jane Wrenn (Christian), William Simeon Wrenn “Simie” (Breanna), Sierra Ethridge, Kobie Ethridge, Rembert “Blake” Wrenn (Ashley W.), Shirley “Paige” Brinson (Sean B.), and Rodney Wayne Wrenn II (Britiney W.). Other cherished grandchildren include Christopher Allen Wrenn (Kayla), Mason Mizzell (Kay), Devon Mizzell, Katie Williams (Kodi W.), and numerous grandsons from the Moody family: Cliff Brooks Moody Jr. “CJ,” Rembert “Ethan” Moody, Carson James Moody, Wade Mathew Moody, and Levi Brooks Moody.
Liz was also a great grandmother to Kyla Casey, Ryan Villanueva, Aubrey Wrenn, McKenzie Wrenn, Braxley Villanueva, Cooper Wrenn, Layne Wrenn, Lillian Wrenn, Micah Brinson, Rilynn Brinson, Dawson Brinson, Asher Wrenn, Weston Wrenn, Karleigh Wrenn, Kaden “Rembert” Williams, and Emma Grace Williams.
Liz was a proud aunt to her nieces and nephews: Jason Thomas Primeau, Wilson Fleetwood Thomas “Fleetwood,” Anthony Fleetwood Dennis (Angel), and Charmaine D. Shillinglaw (John Mark), Kimi Mercado, Heather Phillips and LJ Griffin.
Throughout her life, Liz held many titles and dedicated herself to helping others. In the 1980s, she served as a bus driver for Berkeley County, displaying a deep commitment to her community’s youth. She worked for many years at the Berkeley County 911 Communications Center, where she advanced to the role of Communications Director, a position she held until her retirement in 2006. Additionally, her service extended to being a Volunteer Firefighter with the Town of Bonneau Fire Department in the 1970s. From 1986 until July 2025, Liz also served as the Town Clerk of Bonneau, working alongside her husband, Rembert E. Wrenn Sr., who served as mayor.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Russell Funeral Chapel located at 107 West Main Street, Moncks Corner, SC. A funeral service will follow on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the same location. Burial will be in Bonneau Baptist Cemetery immediately following.
Liz's legacy of kindness, dedication, and love for her family and community will be remembered fondly by all those who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a profound impact through her many years of service and the countless lives she touched.
