Edna Ward Jordan, a respected and beloved figure in her community, passed away on April 22, 2025, at the age of 90. She was born on October 9, 1934, in Berkeley County to parents Henry P. Winter and Beulah Moore Winter and raised by her adopted parents Roland H. Ward and Annie L. Winter. Edna's life was characterized by her caring and loving nature, which touched the hearts of countless individuals.

A graduate of Berkeley High School, Edna dedicated much of her life to serving others. For many years, she used her sewing skills for the people in her community. She was a long-standing member of New Hope Church in Jedburg, where she actively participated in the Ladies Circle.

Edna cherished her personal interests, which included playing softball, bowling, and fishing. These activities brought her joy and created lasting memories. She will be remembered not only for her talents and community involvement but also for the warmth she shared with family and friends.

Edna was the widow of Thomas H. Jordan and is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Jordan and her husband David Woodall, and Angela J. Howard, alongside her son, Thomas Harley Jordan; sisters, Sara Way, Jean Shealy, and Dianne Jowers and her husband Danny, as well as her brother, William Davis. She was grandmother to Howard Eugene Sweat(Kathy), Deanna Nicole Roach, Charles Thomas Roach(Canaan), Jordan M. Caddell(Jonathan Cochran), and Rebecca L. Driggers(Jantzen); great-grandmother to Dirk Randall Welch, Sterling M. Driggers, Lily Roach, and Anderson Roach.

The family wishes to acknowledge the special friends who offered support and care, Audrey Cheney and Patsy Newlin, whose kindness never went unnoticed.

A visitation to honor Edna will be held at Russell Funeral Chapel in Moncks Corner, SC, on April 25, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by her funeral service at 12:00 PM. Interment will take place at New Hope Church Cemetery, Jedburg.
