Debbie Herman Moody

Debbie Herman Moody, of St. Stephen, passed away on November 17, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on April 16, 1956, in Portland, Oregon, she was the daughter of Armin Christ Herman and Alice Stryker Herman.

Debbie was a devoted wife to Michael R. Moody, with whom she celebrated a beautiful marriage of 50 years. She took great pride in her family, leaving behind three sons: Shane Moody and his wife Monica, Shelton Moody and his wife Rebecca, and Marcus Moody and his wife Kacie. Debbie’s legacy continues through her grandchildren: Kyra Miller and her husband Joel, Kylyn Owens and her husband Jacob, Karyce Moody, Austin Moody and his fiancée Olivia Venters, Jared Latham, Braden Latham and his fiancée Ragan Hobart, Camryn Sheffield and her husband Austin, Cooper Moody, Liam Moody, Elin Moody, and Kase Costello. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Jacob Owens Jr. and Bryson Lee Moody.

As a beloved member of Life Baptist Church in St. Stephen, Debbie dedicated her life to her faith and community. She enjoyed going to church and spending quality time with her loved ones. Her infectious spirit and willingness to lend a helping hand made a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know her.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brother, Dale Herman.

Her visitation will be held on November 22, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM, both taking place at Life Baptist Church, located at 2720 Harristown Rd, St. Stephen, SC 29479. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
