Daniel Marion Lofton, 83, husband of 61 years, to Mamie Driggers Lofton, of Macedonia, passed away October 7, 2017, at his residence.
Daniel was born January 8, 1934, in Toombs County Georgia, the son of William Norman Lofton and Maybell Stacks Lofton.
He was an U.S. Air Force Veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. A member of Victory Baptist Church, he was retired a welder and a mechanic.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Mamie, are his son - Wayne Lofton, Sr. and his wife, Ann, of Macedonia; two daughters - Ann L. Rhodes and her husband, Dusty, of Macedonia; and Debra L. Lyon and her husband, Jonathan, of Awendaw; 4 grandchildren - Wade Lyon and his wife, Stephanie; Wayne Lofton, Jr., and his wife Crystal; Jennifer Cunningham and her husband, Zach; and Kimberly Williams and her husband, David; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Daniel dearly loved his family and his dog, Maggie. He was an avid fisherman and gardener.
His funeral service will be at Victory Baptist Church Tuesday morning, October 10, 2017 at 11 o'clock. Interment with military honors, will follow in Macedonia Christian Church Cemetery. Friends may call at Russell Funeral Chapel, Moncks Corner, Monday evening, October 9, between 6 and 8 o'clock.
