Constance Janette Hess Brinson, affectionately known as Connie, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, at the Lowcountry Community Hospice House. Born on December 9, 1934, in East Lansing, Michigan, Connie dedicated her life to raising a family as a housewife and enjoyed an active and fulfilling lifestyle throughout her years.
Connie is survived by her beloved husband of 72 years, William "Bill" Norman Brinson, her children: Bruce Brinson and his wife Dare, Cheryl Maples, Brian Brinson, and Charles Brinson and his wife Leslie, her grandchildren: Vanessa Richardson and her husband Matt, Ryan Brinson and his wife Suzanne, Dave Ensor and his wife Abbie, Drew Ensor and his wife Breck, Duane Ensor and his wife Emily, and Grant Brinson. Additionally, Connie cherished her time with her ten great-grandchildren, who brought endless delight to her. Connie is predeceased by her father, Joseph Leo Hess; her mother, Bernice Marie Chapman Hess Morrison; her sisters, Geraldine Medling and Gloria Morrison; and her daughter, Peggy Ensor.
An avid knitter, quilter, and cross-stitcher, Connie expressed her creativity through her crafts, one of her proudest accomplishments being the knitting of caps for newborn babies. Her granddaughter-in-law Breck would take these thoughtful gifts to the hospital, showcasing Connie's kind-hearted spirit and dedication to making a difference in the lives of others.
Connie was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) as well as the First Presbyterian Church of Moncks Corner, where she contributed to her community and shared her faith. She loved life and embraced every opportunity for adventure, whether it was hiking, camping, traveling across the country, and visiting family.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM, at the First Presbyterian Church of Moncks Corner, located at 419 West Main St, Moncks Corner, SC 29461. Burial will take place immediately following at Oak Hill Cemetery.
