Christine "Teena" (Rodgers) Mixson

Christine “Teena” Rodgers Mixson, 77, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, widow of Leonard J. Mixson, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022, in a local hospital.

Teena was born on January 16, 1945, in Clarendon County, SC, a daughter of Rubin Ollie Rodgers and Marie Rodgers.

A beloved member of Calvary Baptist Church, Teena was a loving woman who enjoyed spending time with people, especially her precious grandchildren.

Surviving is her son- Leonard J. Mixson, Jr. and his wife, Tracy of Moncks Corner, SC; two daughters- Christel M. Berdan and her husband, Mark of Moncks Corner; Tonya M. Murray and her husband, Robin of Ridgeville; one sister- Mary Hagen; sixteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a brother- Ollie “Buster” Edward Rodgers; a daughter- Geana Martinez; and a granddaughter- Megan Elizabeth Paige Berdan.

Her memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Moncks Corner, Friday evening, July 15, 2022, at 6 o’clock, directed by RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL. The family will receive friends at the church from 5 o’clock until the hour of service.
