Carolyn E. Ouellette, born on December 4, 1946, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026. Her loss is deeply felt by all who had the privilege to know her and love her.
Carolyn devoted much of her professional life to the Hospital Corporation of America, where she worked for 37 years. Her commitment and dedication to her work left a lasting impression on both colleagues and the many people she served during her career.
Outside of her career, Carolyn found true joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was a passionate reader, always finding comfort and excitement within the pages of a good book. She cherished time spent with her family, and those moments together. A lover of swimming, taking every opportunity to enjoy the calming embrace of a pool.
Carolyn was also a valued member of the First United Methodist Church in Clearwater, Florida, where her faith and kindness were evident to all who worshipped alongside her.
She leaves behind a loving and devoted family. Carolyn is survived by her son, Joseph Ouellette; her daughter, Elaine Smith, and her husband, Michael; her grandchildren, Joey Ouellette Jr. and Michael Ouellette, and his wife, Winett; her great-grandson, Michael Ouellette; her sisters, Judi Schaefer and Debbie Dube; and her brother, David Rubenstein.
Carolyn was predeceased by her father, Maynard E. Rubenstein, her mother, Dorothy Shaw Rubenstein, and her siblings: Richard Rubenstein, Bobby Rubenstein, Joseph Rubenstein, Ronald Rubenstein, and Linda Rubenstein.
Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by those who loved her dearly, as they honor the life she lived with such grace and dedication.
