Brownlo Steven Troxel, known affectionately as Steve to his friends and family, passed away on the 2nd of July, 2024, in Pineville, South Carolina. Steve was born in Bristol, Virginia, on April 10th, 1944, to Brownlo Henry Troxel and Wanda Ethel Peak Troxel.
A proud veteran, Steve honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, skillfully working as an aviation sheet metal mechanic. His dedication to his country was matched only by his commitment to his faith. A devout Christian, he was an active member of Belle Isle Presbyterian Christ and lived his beliefs through service and love.
Steve was the widower of Helen Hodge Evans Troxel. He is survived by his sons, Matthew Evans and his wife Brenda, and Robert Evans and his wife Tricia; his daughter Barbara Batton; his grandchildren, Jaymie, Jesica, Robert Jr., Megan, and Matthew Jr.; and his great-grandchild, Bella Evans. They will deeply miss his wise counsel, warmth, and the love he shared with them all.
His life was filled with the joy of Willie Nelson's melodies and the loving bonds he built within his community. Steve's legacy is one of kindness, honor, and an unwavering spirit of giving. He leaves behind a family that adores him and a community that respects the steadfast man he was.
